Jacqui's background is in managing public safety and minimising risks to people and the environment from major hazard installations. This led naturally to work in corporate responsibility and sustainable development. Jacqui has also developed skills in human resources management, diversity and in managing wider cultural and societal issues. As a result, her clients are from a wide range of sectors including betting and gaming, hospitality, media, speciality finance, oil and gas, to transport and publishing. Jacqui also leads the team supporting the Cultural Diversity Network, one of our Industry Clubs.

Paul has been a consultant in-house (at Royal and Sun Alliance and CIS) and externally for over 15 years. He has extensive knowledge of the financial services sector and of how businesses operate and the challenges they face. His CR expertise is complemented by earlier experiences in HR and change management, corporate planning and business strategy. He understands and acts as an advocate for the benefits of implementing a cohesive CR strategy. Paul is a regular conference speaker and facilitator and is on the judging panel for ACCA UK’s Sustainability Reporting Awards.

Peter has been involved in corporate responsibility throughout a career that includes public policy, management consultancy and finance. His specific interest is in the relationship between a company's environmental and social behaviour and responsible investment decisions. Previously, Peter was a managing director with FTSE Group and involved with FTSE4Good. He served on the board of an environmental research organisation and continues to advise an investment research firm that provides environmental, social and governance analysis to the finance community.

Having worked in Asia in the late 90s, Neil witnessed first-hand the rapid growth in globalisation. He brings this international perspective and understanding to his work with clients, helping them to understand their wider impacts, both through their direct operations as well as their extended supply chain. Neil works with a number of Acona clients on a variety of issues from general CR advisor to more specific projects, many of which focus on supply chain issues. To Glynn, Corporate Responsibility (CR) is not about 'doing the right thing', it's about helping clients to identify and manage their risks and opportunities. Following a 10-year career in CR and sustainability, Kené
joined Acona from the Carbon Trust in 2011. He is experienced in carbon
management, agricultural supply chains and ethical sourcing. At Carbon
Trust, he developed the process for engaging business units and suppliers to
deliver high-level carbon strategies. Prior to that, he designed and
managed Cadbury's human rights strategy (now a UN Global Compact case study).
Later as a supply chain manager, Kené set up the £45m Cadbury Cocoa Partnership,
leading to Fair Trade certification. Skilled at cross-sector
partnerships, Kené believes that great ideas emerge when ‘unlikely partners’
come together.

Francis joined Acona in 2010. After spending three years working in the
financial services industry he decided to pursue his interest in the
myriad challenges - particularly social, political and commercial -
posed by climate change. Having completed an MSc in Environmental
Technology at Imperial College London, focusing on global policy issues,
he is now enjoying understanding and responding to the practical
implications of environmental, social and ethical risk faced by the

Annabel has a keen interest in helping businesses mitigate risk, reach
untapped business opportunities and promote environmental and social
justice through sustainable development. Before joining Acona she spent
nearly two years working for the UK Government, initially on a placement
in the Sustainable Development Unit at the Department for Environment,
Food and Rural Affairs, and then at the Department for Energy and
Climate Change where she answered the Ministers' correspondence on
international climate change policy. Annabel has an MSc in Environmental
Technology from Imperial College London, where she focussed on business
and sustainability.

Nick joined Acona in November 2007, having previously worked for the National Trust in Cornwall on the Veryan Bay estate, gaining extensive conservation experience and insight into how a large charity works on the ground. Nick has worked in culturally and biologically diverse locations such as the Ecuadorian Amazon, involving work for AmaZOOnico, an electricity- and hot water-deficient 1,500 hectare rainforest designated for animal re-introductions into the wild.

Lydia joined Acona in 2010. Starting as a geologist at Cambridge University, Lydia became increasingly interested in finding solutions to the frightening conclusions of climate science lectures which lead her to complete a Masters at Imperial College London in Environmental Technology, with a specific focus on business and the environment. One of her main interests, and her thesis topic, focused on using design as a solution to complex environmental and social problems faced by businesses today.
