Industry Clubs
We believe that collaboration is one of the most effective ways to tackle complex CR issues and we actively encourage our clients to build networks with their peers and share best practice.
We see a number of advantages for companies in working together in this way:
- A common view of CR issues affecting a sector
- Information sharing – learning from each other
- Greater leverage – pooling resources to pay for projects
- Bigger impact – a higher profile than any member could attract individually
The Media CSR Forum is a membership organisation that brings media companies together to collaboratively develop a better understanding of the implications of CR for the sector. Many of the CR issues faced by media companies are unique, so it is important to have a space in which to identify, discuss and share best practice on these. For more information on the Media CSR Forum, please contact Christian Toennesen
PREPS is a joint initiative between sixteen of the UK's leading publishers. Together, these companies have set up a database to hold technical specifications and details of the pulps and forest sources for each of the papers they use. Each forest source is risk assessed using the Acona Country Forest Risk Assessment Tool and the paper is then graded using the PREPS Grading System. Members share this information and take it into account when making buying decisions. For more information on PREPS, please contact Nick Sammons
Creative Diversity Network (CDN); Through collaboration across the broadcasting industry, the CDN aims to improve diverse representation both on- and off-screen. With a committed and energetic membership of 13 major UK broadcasters, PACT, BAFTA, and Skillset, the CDN is perfectly placed to initiate industry-wide change. For more information on the CDN, please contact Jacqui Boardman

The Publishing Industry Product Safety (PIPS) is a joint initiative between ten of the UK's leading publishers in response to new EU safety legislation. The European Community regulation on the safe use of chemicals (REACH) and the revised Toy Safety Directive demand that manufacturers of books test them vigorously and for a wide range of chemicals.
