Data management
It’s an old adage, but one we believe is quite true - 'You can’t manage, what you can’t measure'. Evidence is at the heart of our philosophy, so data – and it’s analysis - is something we take very seriously. Conjecture doesn’t cut it and we know for CR to be taken seriously by stakeholders an approach based on robust evidence and data is key.We work with clients to develop robust data management processes that help them to measure and understand their performance. Often this starts simply by defining what should be measured and what indicators are meaningful. We know that a handful of the right measures – presented in a relevant and clear way - can often be far more powerful in explaining performance than a multitude of complex and generic ‘KPIs’.
Beyond this we help our clients to create simple systems to help collect, collate, interpret and report data. We believe that any management system used needs to be fit for purpose and, more importantly straightforward. A spreadsheet will often suffice, but in other instances we recognise that a more sophisticated approach will be better. To deliver this we often work with partners, such as Credit360 (www.credit360.com), a leading CR management system provider.
Either way our goal is to find the right approach that supports and strengthens our clients CR strategy and frees up the corporate responsibility team to spend more time on implementation, not chasing data.
